Stories Woven into Cloth | Meet Our West Bengal Weavers

What an incredible visit to our weavers in West Bengal, India. To witness the entire journey, from yarn dyeing to weaving the fabric on handlooms was truly something else, humbling and deeply inspiring. The artisans, many of whom have learned the craft from generations before them, work with a quiet mastery that only age-old tradition and dedication can bring. It takes so many people, and so much time just to make one fabric. Every step is slow, intentional and done with so much care. Their workspaces are simple, surrounded by nature, and there's this beautiful rhythm to how they work. There's no rush here; only the honest pace of slow craft. Being there in their world, reminded us of why we do what we do. It is truly a heartfelt experience-one that fills you with gratitude and awe for the people who make our textiles what they are: living, breathing stories woven into cloth.
