My Slice of Home | Ahmedabad

My travels to India are usually filled with visits to vendors, weavers and printers—meeting the hands that bring my designs to life; but I always make time to visit home, my family and the place where my inspiration began.

In Ahmedabad, my mother has created a world of beauty. Walls dressed in art from her travels, plants spilling over balconies and peacocks strolling through the garden like they belong there.

Every morning she gathers blooms from the garden and fills the house with fresh flower arrangements.

The house always smells of spices and slow cooking. No trip home is complete without her food—comforting, layered and made with love.

Her closet is pure magic! It's filled with vintage sarees, handwoven silks and soft cottons that tell stories of weddings, travels and everyday moments.

It's here, surrounded by textiles, color, flowers and craft that my own love for the handmade began. Every piece I design carries a little of home—its textures, colors, and quiet magic out into the world.
